Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) is a multi-year programme funded by the European Union and led by the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) with the aim of increasing the amount of biodiversity information available for use in scientific research and policymaking. El programa Información sobre la Biodiversidad para el Desarrollo (Biodiversity Information for Development - BID) es un programa de varios años financiado por la Unión Europea y liderado por la Infraestructura Mundial de Información en Biodiversidad (Global Biodiversity Information Facility - GBIF) que pretende incrementar la cantidad de información sobre biodiversidad disponible para uso científico y desarrollo de políticas. This training is organized as part of the regional meetings concluding the first phase of the BID programme and aiming to identify regional priorities and actions to sustain the mobilization of biodiversity data for science and policy.

Esta formación se organiza como parte de los encuentros regionales que finalizan la primera fase del programa BID y tiene como objetivo identificar prioridades y acciones regionales que garanticen de manera sostenida la movilización de datos de biodiversidad para la ciencia y la política.

Through a series of practical exercises, we will support the BID project teams in the first stages of establishing a GBIF Participant node to sustain the activities started through the BID programme into the future.

A través de una serie de ejercicios prácticos, apoyaremos a los equipos de proyectos BID en las primeras fases del establecimiento de un Nodo Participante de GBIF para mantener en el futuro actividades empezadas durante el programa BID.
